Spicer Rudstrom is proud to announce that Isaac Westling, attorney in our Knoxville office, has been elected Vice President of the Barristers, the Young Lawyers Division of the Knoxville Bar Association (KBA).
As Vice President, he will help guide the organization’s initiatives for the upcoming year. Furthermore, this position sets him on a direct path to leadership, as he will transition to become President of the Barristers in 2027.
A History of Leadership and Service
Isaac’s election to Vice President is a natural progression of his dedication to the legal profession and the Knoxville community. He has been an active member of the Knoxville Bar Association, previously serving on the executive committee as a member-at-large. Additionally, he has demonstrated his commitment to legal education and mentorship as a regular volunteer and co-chair of the Mock Trial Committee for the KBA’s Young Lawyer Division.
His leadership skills were evident early in his legal education. While attending Lincoln Memorial University, School of Law, Isaac was elected to numerous positions within the Student Bar Association, serving as Senator, Vice President, and eventually President. His academic excellence was recognized with two Cali Excellence for the Future honors in Civil Procedure and Evidence, awarded for achieving the highest grade-point average in those courses. He graduated Cum Laude in 2021.
Professional Expertise
Isaac is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Florida. He brings a unique background to his practice, having earned his bachelor’s degree in public safety administration Cum Laude from Florida Southwestern State College.
At Spicer Rudstrom, Isaac’s practice focuses on insurance defense, specifically within the realms of general, premises, and professional liability litigation. He also handles workers’ compensation cases and is a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator in Tennessee.
Isaac’s approach to law is driven by his appreciation for the technical process of litigation. He finds great professional satisfaction in utilizing alternative dispute resolution methods to solve complex problems, while also embracing the challenge of taking cases to trial when necessary.
Commitment to the Legal Community
Beyond his work with the Barristers, Isaac is involved in professional organizations. He is a member of the Hamilton Burnett Inns of Court and maintains active membership in both the Tennessee and Florida Bar Associations.
We congratulate Isaac on this well-deserved honor and look forward to supporting him as he steps into this leadership role for the Knoxville Bar Association.
