To show gratitude to those who protect our communities, Spicer Rudstrom participated in the Wills for Heroes clinic, providing free estate planning services to local deputies.
Supporting Local Heroes
On March 27, 2026, our attorneys gathered at the Blount County Justice Center for a dedicated Essential Document Clinic. The primary goal of the day was to provide free wills for local deputies.
This successful initiative came together through a strong collaboration between Spicer Rudstrom PLLC, McKinnish Law Group PLLC, and the TBA Young Lawyers Division. Together, experienced attorneys volunteered their time to provide vital information regarding the process and helped law enforcement personnel create basic wills.
Providing Peace of Mind
Proper estate planning brings necessary peace of mind, especially for first responders who face daily risks. The event saw a fantastic turnout, with dozens of deputies taking advantage of the free legal services.
Deputy Joseph P. Maus, Esq., shared his appreciation for the successful initiative:
“Thanks to Spicer Rudstrom and McKinnish law firms, 37 deputies now have wills, with more being finalized this week. Their support has made a meaningful difference for our team!”
A Tradition of Giving Back
Giving back to the community remains a core value at Spicer Rudstrom. We believe in using our legal expertise to support those who protect our neighborhoods. Kelsey Reilly, organizer of the event, and Spicer Rudstrom attorney, reflected on the day’s incredible success:
“This was a rewarding opportunity to support those who serve our community. With five attorneys volunteering, this year’s event had our best turnout yet, and we look forward to continuing this tradition.”
