Davin Kellar, the legal clerk in Spicer Rudstrom’s Knoxville office, has been accepted into a summer internship at the Judicial Inspectorate for Correctional Services in the Office of the Inspecting Judge in Cape Town, South Africa, as well as into the University of Western Cape Town. There, he will take three courses during the semester, including South Africa’s Constitution, Doing Business in South Africa: International Business Transactions, and Contemporary Developments in International and Comparative Law: Comparative Criminal Procedure. During the six-week internship, Davin and other interns will work with corrections officers to monitor prisoners, ensuring their rights are not infringed upon.

Davin is a second-year law student at the University of Tennessee College of Law. He was able to partner with Howard University School of Law for this opportunity.

Davin is set to graduate in May 2018 and has plans of practicing in Tennessee.
