Steven Collins Joins Knoxville Office

Knoxville, Tenn.—(April 4, 2016) Litigation and business law firm Spicer Rudstrom, PLLC announced today the addition of J. Steven Collins to its downtown office. Serving in an Of Counsel role, Steve’s practice involves representing parties in the grocery, financial, manufacturing, not-for-profit, and trucking industries, as well as providing counsel on government compliance, hiring agreements, and severance packages for employers. He has also handled numerous wills contests. His hiring brings Spicer Rudstrom’s total number of attorneys to 38.

Steve’s full practice will encompass Alternative Dispute Resolution, Insurance Law, Business and Corporate Law, Employment Law, Family and Domestic Law, Retail and Hospitality, Products Liability, Trucking and Transportation Litigation, and Wills and Probate Proceedings.

He is an active member of the Knoxville Bar Association and Tennessee Bar Association and has served as an adjunct professor in litigation practice skills, pre-trial procedure, and appellate practice for both Pellissippi State Technical Community College and the University of Tennessee College of Law. He has achieved an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, been named Master of the Bench with the American Inns of Court, and is a graduate of Leadership Knoxville.

Prior to joining Spicer Rudstrom, Steve was a founding member of Burroughs Collins and Newcomb in Knoxville. He earned his J.D. with the highest honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
