Chattanooga attorney B. Thomas Hickey, Jr. secured a victory for his clients in defending a recent jury trial for a trucking company and its driver. The trial was in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee. The plaintiffs alleged negligence and reckless driving against Thomas’s clients. Thomas used a multi-faceted defense, including a complete denial of negligence, out-of-state-witness testimony, police officer testimony, on-board computer GPS records showing the truck’s speed and the location at pertinent times, and critical photographs of the location and scene of the accident. After a short deliberation, the jury returned a verdict in favor of both the trucking company and the driver, finding no liability on either for the accident.
