Two Spicer Rudstrom attorneys are slated as presenters at an upcoming workers’ compensation seminar, which will take place in Nashville, Tenn., as well as in Memphis, Tenn. Courtney S. Paterson, an associate in the firm’s Nashville office, and Jared S. Renfroe, an associate in the firm’s Memphis office, join with other attorneys for the all-day seminar.

Their “Legislative and Case Law Update” will address the workers’ compensation law changes that went into effect earlier this year, as well as significant recent Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board decisions. Later in the day, they will present “Ethical Obligations,” which will cover rules of professional conduct, contacts with parties, doctors and rehabilitation personnel, attorneys’ fees, and lawyer liability during the all-day workshop.

Presented by National Business Institute, the Advanced Workers’ Compensation workshop will take place on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, in Nashville and on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, in Memphis.

The course has been approved for continuing education credits, including Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education, Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission, and Society for Human Resource Management, among others.
