Knoxville attorney Steven Collins is slated as a presenter at an employment law seminar, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2017. “Advanced Employment Law: Working Through Common Problems” is an advanced-level seminar. It provides attorneys, in-house counsel, human resource (HR) managers, directors, controllers, and executives with clear legal guidance. This helps them avoid lawsuits, and complying with HR laws, and handle volatile situations.
The seminar will cover topics like the Affordable Care Act, deciphering FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation issues. As well as, creating Fair Labor Standards Act strategies that work, and balancing employee rights vs. an employer’s right to know.
Steve will specifically address “Reducing the Potential for Discrimination and Harassment Liability” and “Responding to EEOC and State Agency Charges.” He joins Terri L. Bernal from The Chartwell Law Offices and Melissa Carrasco from Egerton McAfee Armistead & Davis, P.C. as presenters.
This workshop is presented by National Business Institute and offers up to six hours of continuing education credit.
