Associate, Memphis Office
A native Memphian, Preston is a graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He also holds a Master of Science in Sport and Leisure Commerce from the University of Memphis, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama.
In law school, Preston honed his research and writing skills and found a passion for civil defense work. He was selected to join Volume 48 of the Memphis Law Review as a 2L Staff Member and was selected to serve as the Business and Media Editor of Volume 49 of the Memphis Law Review. During his time in law school, Preston served as the Executive Director of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, the Election Commissioner and Bar Governor for the Student Bar Association, the coordinator for the Public Action Law Society, and was a Junior Track Leader for the Alternative Spring Break Program. He was also one of a select few students to be invited by Dean Katharine Schaffzin to join the Leo Bearman Sr. American Inn of Court.
Before joining Spicer Rudstrom, Preston worked for 2 years at the Hunt Law Firm where he engaged in a wide variety of litigation issues, including worker’s compensation defense, insurance defense, real estate transaction disputes, personal injury defense, and civil rights litigation.
Outside of the office, Preston is an avid sports fan who enjoys hunting and fishing with his black lab Zoey and spending time with his wife Alex and daughter Sutton.
