Thomas F. Preston, Sr. has been practicing law in Memphis and throughout Tennessee since 1983. Prior to practicing law in Tennessee, he practiced law in New York City from 1981 to 1983. Tom has concentrated his practice on civil litigation, primarily focusing on medical malpractice and nursing home defense as well as automobile and trucking defense cases.

Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, he has been licensed to practice law in Tennessee since 1984 and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Tennessee, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is also licensed to practice law in New York.

Tom graduated from Memphis University School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1974 and received a BA degree from the University of Virginia in 1978 in history and religious studies, and a JD degree from Vanderbilt University in 1981.

Mr. Preston is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, and Shelby County Bar Association.

Outside the office, Tom enjoys playing golf and tennis as well as the study of history.
